A.M.O.K.Arts is a ministry founded by Dave Weiss under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Our mission is simple we minister to artists and we minister through the arts. Our goal is to help everyone discover their God given purpose and live it out. Dave Weiss has a special burden for artists because he is an artist who believes that God has given us our gifts to be used to His glory. Since art is his gift, he has been exploring ways to use that gift to encourage everyone to find what they were made to do. 1 Peter 4:10

About Dave Weiss

When Dave first walked into the church after not attending for ten years, he was struggling to stay sober and terrified to speak in public. Today Dave travels all over the U.S. painting and preaching and teaching the Word of God. How did this radical transformation happen? Dave says, “It all started when my pastor showed me I could use my God given gift of art to serve the Lord and then gave me the opportunity to actually do it. Now my passion is to use my gift to share the Gospel and encourage others to find their gifts and use them to serve God.” Dave was a youth leader for five years and then planted and pastored New Creation Fellowship in Reading, Pennsylvania for ten years. When New Creation closed in 2012, he felt led to pursue an itinerant ministry with AMOKArts. Dave is an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren. He is bivocational and spends his days doing design work for a non-profit organization. He’s been involved professionally in some aspect of the visual arts for over 25 years. He’s designed everything from grocery circulars to stage sets. He and his wife Dawn have been married over 25 years and have two sons. To contact Dave, go to amokarts@aol.com.

What is A.M.O.K.?

Over the years there has been some question about this name. A.M.O.K. is an acronym that stands for Arts Ministry Outreach for the Kingdom. The goal of A.M.O.K. is summed up in our founding verse 1 Peter 4:10: “Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others… Dave uses live visual art, video and the Word of God to challenge people to use their gifts to serve the Lord and others. His message will motivate your group to find the things they were created to do and be, individually and corporately, to the glory of God.
