The Potter’s Hands

The other day in Emerge’s Art Ministry Extravaganza, our keynote speaker was an artist named Dave Blakeslee. I have seen his ministry in action and he is phenomenal. He is a potter and in the course of his message he throws pots on his potters wheel. His ministry model is really cool. He sells his work to finance his ministry and his work is superb. A few years ago, the people at Our Daily Bread made a film featuring Dave, and in it, he follows the creation of a pot from concept to completion and all along the way he is using the process as a metaphor for how we are all just clay in the Potter’s hands.
