This morning I had to take one of my church folks to a two hour doctor appointment. Because of COVID, I was not able to go in with him, which gave me a little time to kill. I took my Kindle Fire with me and so I decided to catch up on my reading. Some time back I downloaded a book with my Kindle Unlimited membership called, Join the Revolution.: A Radical Call to Christian Creativity and Entrepreneurship. That sounded like something that would be right up my alley, and it was. The book is very short. I finished it in a half hour to 45 minutes. I can’t say I learned a lot from it, because once again the author felt a lot like a kindred spirit (see yesterday’s post). The author, David Lee Martin, and I have a lot of thoughts in common when it comes to art and ministry. That being said, this book is wall to wall encouragement. If you ever feel blocked or frustrated, if you ever wonder whether or not what you are doing an artist has any importance, , meaning, etc. I highly recommend you pick up this quick little dose of encouragement and read if for yourself. After all, sooner or later, all of us need a little exhortation.
