I saw one of the art people I follow have this posted today and I feel like it is such a good reminder for us creative types. There are times when we need to audition or apply for performance and exhibition opportunities, but most of the time, waiting for someone else to pick you is not the best way to go. Create your best work and put it out there. There are always people looking for what we do, we just need to get creative and let them know we’re out here.
Think about who you are and what you do and get your work before the people that will be looking for what you do.
Don’t wait to be picked. Pick yourself.
