Thursday I alluded to the idea of staying focused and staying on mission, and there is one more key to all of that that needs to be discussed. It is one of the most difficult things in the world for creative types like us. I call it the fine art of “NO.” Simply stated, we need to learn to say “no” to things. We need to say no to the good things so we can say yes to the best things. We need to learn to pass on some things so we can focus on the best things.
The word “No” is your friend. Don’t feel obligated to say “Yes” to everything. Make good choices. Your goals will hang in the balance. There is also a difference between good things and God things. God things must come first.
Choose wisely. Learn to say “NO!”
