On the Road Again

Posted: March 19, 2021 in Uncategorized

It seems like it’s been forever and in truth it has been pretty long. I was back out on the road ministering revivals. I usually get to minister between 30 and 50 times a year. I expected that number to go down a bit as I went full-time at my Church, Springfield Church of the Brethren. What I did not expect was COVID. My engagements last year went from 30 to three and this is my first of this year. I love doing this. It’s the combination of making art and telling stories that I dreamed of as a child as well as the important work of preaching God’s Word which I came to see as my calling much later in life. It strikes me as an incredible blessing that I am called to do what I was created to do. This series has been really enjoyable. Each of the individual messages is one I have done before and a few of them I have done many times, but somehow this time I am seeing them differently. I have never used these messages together in a series before and I am amazed to see how well they feed on each other to make a consistent message that opens across the days.

But it’s more than just what I do I get to see how other churches do ministry, I get to meet new people and make new friends and that is always great. Most importantly, I get to see God at work, doing things beyond what I could ask or imagine. Some of those are big things, some of them look like small things that I never thought of that just seem to become obvious as I witness my mighty God’s hand at work.

I hope to get to do this a lot more often as things continue to open up. If you’d like to have me in at your church or event, please contact me.
