2021

Posted: January 2, 2021 in Uncategorized

I’ve been reading posts online predicting what 2021 will be. One of the things that 2020 should have showed us is that life is unpredictable and the best laid plans can still go awry. There are things in our lives that are simply out of our control. So what can we do? The same thing we can do every day. We need to do the best we can with the opportunities that lay before us. We need to use our gifts to the glory of God. We need to continue to create and do our best work, while living compassionate, God-honoring faith-filled lives.

The fact of the matter is there will always be some things that will be out of our control. Beyond that this year will be, at least to some degree what we make it. If we allow fear to keep us from bringing our best to the table—if we let discouragement make us say, “What’s the use?” we will not be doing our part. We will not be living in the faithfulness, God desires. At the end of the day, we need to trust God and live faithfully, doing all we are called to do, with all the God-honoring excellence we can muster, and trusting God to do with it as He will with what He has given us to do.

What will 2021 be? I don’t know, but I do know that God is faithful. Press on and do your best.
