Realism Is All About Paying Attention

People are always blown away by realism, the way an artist can make a piece of art look so real. Many think it is unattainable, but that’s not entirely true. Realism is all about paying attention. You look at how everything relates to everything else and you recreate what you see. It’s all in the details and how well you pay attention to them. The more details in the right places, the more real the picture looks.

Life is like that. In order to really get it, we have to pay attention to the details and the relationships between people, places and things. The more attention we pay to things large and small and relationships one to another, the clearer and more in focus life becomes.
