You know how it works. You start to work on something and the voices begin. Sometimes they are from without and sometimes from within, but the basis of their accusation is the same. Who are you to do that? You’re not qualified. You’re old, too young, too stupid, too uneducated, too whatever. Those voices are so destructive. They condemn us and their purpose is to stop you before you start. Well please remember what the Bible says, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1 When you start to hear condemning voices you have to remember where they’re from, and it’s not God.
Here’s the thing. If you’re called by God, you’re qualified. Does that mean you have everything you need and you don’t need to get any training or education. No not necessarily, If God calls you to become a surgeon, you’re still going to need to go to med school. But remember what I said. The voices are there to stop you before you START. I am telling you to start. Ignore the voices that tell you you’re disqualified, find the thing God is calling you to do and START. Follow the path, keep making the right steps and do the work.
There’s an old and overused saying that is absolutely true. God doesn’t (always) call the qualified, He qualifies the called. I don’t know if you, right now, have the qualifications to do what God is calling you to do. What I do know is if He is calling, He will make the way. It might be hard work and it might take a lot of time, but God will push you all the way through.
What qualifies you to do what you are called to do? It’s not a what it’s a who. It’s God.
He is calling you today. Obedience demands you to start.
