No matter how often it happens, it hurts, at least a little. You get rejected. It happens and it’s a reality of life, especially for creatives. Sometimes there can only be one winner. It can be really easy for the rest of us to feel like a loser. Don’t bother. Sure there is disappointment. Sure you wonder what made the “winner” better than you. Sure it’s discouraging. I’m sitting here feeling all this right now, but here is the question, is God sovereign? Because if he is, then He is in control. You’re not rejected. You were headed in the wrong direction. You were headed outside God’s will. God turned you around and put you in the right direction. Keep watching for God to move. It will be okay.
Move forward in faithfulness. You’re not rejected.
