Welcome to 2015…

As we move forward into our dreams and visions and goals and more importantly God’s will for this new year, take a second to reflect on the year that just passed. For some it was the best of times, for others the worst and for most of us it was a little (or a lot) of both. In my own life, at the same time I saw some wonderful things happen, goals and dreams fulfilled, it felt like I was watching the world plummet on a downward spiral. We have to be careful not to let our attitudes spiral with it.

Here are a few things that might help as we launch into another year:
1. It all depends on God, not you. He who began the good work in us, is the one who carries it on to completion in the day of Christ Jesus. Our role in all of this is faithfulness.
2. God’s will doesn’t end in death for the believer. It begins anew in paradise and continues forever.
3. Let bad times spur you on to good deeds. This really irritates the author of bad times while pleasing the author of life. Win-win!
4. God’s plan is not thwarted by circumstances. He’s not surprised when things go wrong and He knows the story from beginning to eternity. He is always good so hold on to Him, trust Him and take the next step in faith.
5. In all things God works for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. This is a promise and it is still in effect.
6. God wins and by extension so do we.

I pray that this is the best, most wonderful, creative and impactful year of your life. Use your gifts for good, because God is good! He will never steer you wrong.
