If you’ve ever wondered why I call this blog a tribe, now you know.
I decided to find all the people who like me are interested in (love) art, creativity and Jesus and who would love to find a way to bring their loves together. If that’s you, welcome to the tribe.
I started creating this blog after reading the book Tribes by Seth Godin. It’s about gathering people with a common goal, a common drive, a common passion and starting a movement. It wasn’t so much that I hadn’t thought of it before, it was that he put what I was thinking into words and made me see I wasn’t crazy.
My dream and I believe my calling is to use my gifts to make a real difference in this world and to use these talents I’ve been given to help people and point them to the God who helped me.
But it’s not just me, I know there are people, artists, all over this world who want to do more than just make something people want to hang over their sofas. They want to create something that will touch hearts and change lives.
They want to create works of art that draw attention to issues and do something to change it. They want to express to the world a better way and whether or not they realize it they want to give their gift to the world because it is what they were created to do.
I want to work with these people. I want to gather them via this medium and others from all over the world and equip and encourage them to join with me in starting a movement of artists who are not satisfied with the status quo. People with a holy discontent with the way things are and a desire to use what they have to make things better.
I serve a God who said with Him all things are possible and I believe it, so I am going to do it. If you want to do it too I would love you to join my tribe, I would love to have you. Subscribe to the blog, follow the website and tell someone else about it. We do not have to be ordinary, we can put our gifts in the hands of an extraordinary God and do something amazing. Share your ideas, gather other like minded people around you and let’s start a movement. Let’s make a difference.
