AMOKArts Art Ministry Academy This Weekend

This weekend will mark the first AMOKArts Art Ministry Academy and I would love to see you there. This will be a day of learning how to use art to expand and/or enhance your ministry. It’s a day long workshop Saturday December 10 from 8am to 5pm at New Creation Fellowship, 3646 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605. The day starts with some introduction and a demonstration and then it’s your turn. We will explore a topic and some scriptures and then you will get to create an expression of what God lays on your heart. Lastly you will get to share with the rest of the group as if you were doing your work in some aspect of ministry. Bring your favorite art materials and wear clothes suitable for working with art supplies.

The AMOKArts Art Ministry Academy is for you.

A live demonstration of various examples, a discussion of uses of visual art in ministry, then the real fun begins participants will spend the afternoon dissecting a passage or concept and developing their own creative arts presentation. The culmination of the event is the opportunity for participants to create and present their creation to the group and invited guests, just as they would in a live worship/teaching or outreach experience. Artists of all skill levels are welcome. Bring your favorite art media and wear clothing appropriate for working with paints, etc.
