America’s Got Talent… Art+Music+Dance=David Garibaldi and his CMYKs

If you’ve been following this blog for any amount of time, you know I’m a huge fan of David Garibaldi. If you’ve been watching America’s Got Talent this season, you know he’s made the show and is through to the Semi-Finals. I had questions as to whether or not he could pull it off, not because of a lack of talent but I thought the 90 second time limit might mess him up. He made it work. This guy is a one of a kind talent and he proves what I have been saying all along. You don’t have to worry about your resources, take what you have, use your God-given creativity and give it your best. I’ve seen David live, his 6 minute paintings are better, but what he and his crew can get done in 90 seconds is astounding. This video is a picture of innovation and creativity. He’s found a way to do a great work in 90 seconds and made it entertaining.

David Garibaldi is an amazing young man. He was once a graffiti artist and now he travels the world doing his unique blend of speed painting and motivational speaking and he’s sold his live paintings raising over $1,000,000 for charity. Pray for him and vote for him. This is the kind of talent we want to support.

It’s no secret I am a big fan of David Garibaldi and hopefully it’s even less of a secret that I’m a fan of this painting’s subject. David is an amazing artist and motivational speaker and I’m glad he’s also a brother.

I had the pleasure of meeting this man a few months ago and his presentation is electrifying. Started out doing graffiti, when a teacher took an interest in him and set him on a different path. Today he travels the world painting portraits of pop stars and encouraging people to use their gifts to make a difference. He is someone you really need to check out. I’m attaching three of his videos here. The first one gives his back story, the second shows his passion and the third shows his most important subject. There are many videos of him in action. Check them out.

One of the great blessings for me over the past year was getting chance to meet and watch this young man perform live. He is amazing and he has a great message for people today about using their gifts to make a difference in our world. He is truly a man after my own heart. Excited about seeing one of my art heroes tonight

Just a quick note. I am going to see and meet performance painter David Garibaldi tonight (Lord willing) This guy is such an incredible talent and he acknowledges God for his abilities which is very cool. Check out the video and if he comes to your area check him out.

One of the things I get every time I watch David is “I want to do that.” It is so cool to watch him work. Truth be known I should not envy what he does, and neither should I attempt to copy it, what I should do instead is allow his work to inspire me to become the best I can be at what I do. How have your influences inspired you. Watch a great artist work, take in a show or an exhibit and instead of thinking I want to do that, ask God to use it to inspire you into His plan for your gift.
