In John 13 the Bible says Jesus showed His disciples the full extent of His love. How does the creator of the universe show the full extent of His love? What grandiose gesture did He do? He took on the work of the lowest slave in the house and washed their feet. Then He said we should do as He has done, humble ourselves and serve others.

How easy is that for you? We need to use our gifts to serve others. That is of key importance, but sometimes we need to go out of our zone and just do the things that must be done. Let’s do everything to God’s glory. You gotta serve somebody!

The video was done for Footwash Ministries. I enjoyed making this piece and learned a few new tricks doing it.

For some time now I have been dreaming of being able to post the art I do in church and the message that goes along with it. On Saturday when I posted my last video I got a notice from Youtube saying I am now able to post videos longer than 15 minutes so I finally got my wish and just in time as I am starting a series on Jesus as he is revealed in Scripture.

The WDJD/WWJD message series is a series designed to strip away the religion and just look at Jesus as He is recorded in Scripture. Whether you’re a follower of Christ or someone who is interested in Jesus but turned off by the church this series is for you. The series was incited by a quote at a recent workshop. The speaker said. “Evangelical Christianity spends a lot of time looking at Jesus birth, death and resurrection, but spends very little time looking at why people wanted to Kill Him. As we examine His life one of the things we will pretty quickly see is that Jesus was a radical in the best sense of the Word.

This is the second message in my series looking deeply into the life of Christ. It is based around two of the birth accounts of Jesus and the song O Holy Night. This video answers the question, Why Did Jesus Come to Earth?

O Holy Night

This week in church my message was partly inspired by O Holy Night. This is the painting I did in the service. The song is from the Glee Christmas album, a really beautiful version sung by Lea Michelle and the rest of the cast.
