Journey through Michael Hyatt’s Platform: Post Two Baking in the Wow

In th chapter 2 Michael Hyatt’s Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World, Michael Hyatt, looks at the topic of creating a compelling wow product and gives ten attributes to consider. What are those attributes? Clickthe link above and read the book!
Looking at the attributes made me look over the aspects of AMOKArts. Since most of the attributes looked at experiences, I decided to look at the most experiential “product” I have right now: My evangelistic program A Night AMOK: Pix of JC and the good news for me is it has several of the attributes within it. There are some surprises as I reveal unexpected elements in the art I create. I create some pieces that create anticipation as people look at the piece and wonder what I am going to do with it. It has touching moments, moments that inspire and judging from the feedback I’ve received, it’s memorable. I’ve had at least two bookings from people who’ve seen it and wanted to share it with several more on the way. All in all this is pretty good news for A Night AMOK: Pix of JC, a program I created before reading this book. You can “bet” as I begin planning my next programs as well as all my other products, I will have this list handy so that I can be intentional about “baking in the wow.”
This chapter reminded me about something, I’ve really instinctively known. I have to do my best to create something that will be memorable long after it’s over, something that will plant a seed deep within someone’s heart. The list of attributes in the chapter will help me to quantify what that is. Creating something people will talk about is a huge part of what builds a platform.
What is your product? And what will you do to make people say, “Wow!”
