On Wednesday morning at an ungodly hour (should ministries work at ungodly hours?) I will be leaving Pennsylvania for Indiana. I’ll be doing live art and a workshop for the Church of the Brethren Church Planting Workshop Thursday through Saturday, then heading to Northern Indiana to Pleasant Chapel COB in Ashley IN to preach and paint for their Sunday Morning worship service, then picking up and driving to Dayton OH for a Sunday Evening Youth event with my good friend Todd Pearage (Lord willing). I am so looking forward to this trip and I would really appreciate your prayers.

Proverbs 11:14 says, “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.”
My experience with my coach bears this out. When I participated in Craig Smith’s Coaching Basics workshop a little over a year ago, my intent was to add a coaching service to AMOKArts.com. I had been working hard at this ministry for over a decade and was having a hard time gaining traction. I thought perhaps adding a coaching component would help get things rolling. What I discovered (beyond learning a lot about coaching) was I needed a coach.
Craig was kind enough to take me under his wing as a client. The transformation has been remarkable. Many of the advances you have seen on this website and in the ministry in general have been at least partially due to Craig’s assistance. If you’ve been following this site for any length of time, you probably know I’m a creative with a slight tendency toward ADD (though I’ve never been diagnosed). I had thousands of ideas, pulling me in all sorts of different directions. Working with Craig has really helped me focus, find my strengths and the real strengths of my ministry and put them to work. He has a lot of real world experience in leadership and ministry.
Craig asks all the right questions, helps me to discern the good ideas from the great, God-inspired ones, gives fantastic assignments and helps me save a lot of time. This past year has been remarkable. I’ve secured more bookings for presentations this year by far than at any time in my past. I’m more effective, organized, relaxed, focused and I feel like I’m finally going in the right direction. I feel like I’m being much more effective at doing the Kingdom work I was called to do. Craig has been a God-send for AMOKArts.com and for me.
A coach will help you focus, figure out what to take on and what to let go, what things are for right now and what should be filed for later and on and on and on. Do you need a coach? I for one highly recommend it.
