In John 13 the Bible says Jesus showed His disciples the full extent of His love. How does the creator of the universe show the full extent of His love? What grandiose gesture did He do? He took on the work of the lowest slave in the house and washed their feet. Then He said we should do as He has done, humble ourselves and serve others.
How easy is that for you? We need to use our gifts to serve others. That is of key importance, but sometimes we need to go out of our zone and just do the things that must be done. Let’s do everything to God’s glory. You gotta serve somebody!

It’s interesting that this posting so quickly follows postings about rejection. I wonder if we need rejection to become more sensitive to the needs of those around us. I become a better artist the more in sync I am to the needs of those around me. Jesus knows rejection far greater than anything I can experience. Here is my Master & LORD humbling himself to wash filthy feet, dealing with the reaction of his own disciples when he girds himself with the servant’s towel, and challenging them that unless they allow him to do this they have no part of him. He teaches us how to forge ahead regardless of challenges and the risk of rejection. Jesus teaches us to be servants. A servants towel along whole armor of God (Eph 6:11-17), just might be the worthiest uniform anyone could wear.
Amen sister.
I couldn’t agree more.
